It actually used to be a plantation house and the "slave quarters" is a small house across the street (different property now though)! It probably would have a lot of stories if it could talk.

Kim, hearing this kind of thing makes me wonder why they don't teach home maintenance (cleaning cooking and laundry, anyway) in grade school. To my mind this is just as important as reading. As you can see in our homeschool we're doing basic cooking (mixes) with the 8 and 7 year olds. They fold washcloths and will run the machine around 10 or 12. :]

Virginia, only a few more days!! $$$Happy Elf Mom (Christine)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15047347624037697311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-62941943118249334162009-01-11T07:27:00.000-06:002009-01-11T07:27:00.000-06:00Where did these pictures come from? One girl didn't know what fresh vegetables were and had absolutely no idea what to do with a potato. *sigh*Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-20917033080057181362009-01-10T17:06:00.000-06:002009-01-10T17:06:00.000-06:00LOL. Sometimes I bet you want to knock me upside the head and set me straight. Ha ha. I'm glad I'm way over here! :D Thanks for the encouragement. You know, some people here just do one study a month or even every two months and that is there living. You can make up to about $7,000 for one study.Virginia Revoirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12426979985073932937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-25956259059977749162009-01-10T16:26:00.000-06:002009-01-10T16:26:00.000-06:00Oh, response to your comment. We bought a house for real cheap one time when I was younger because the house wasn't cared for and was torn up. There was even a tree and beer cans inside the backyard empty pool. They had it up for bid and people would just shake their head and walk away. My parents were able to buy it for $45,000. Whatever kids lived in this house you are showing pictures of, I hope the kids are okay. I'm not trying to be critical either, but I just kind of wonder.Virginia Revoirhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12426979985073932937noreply@blogger.com
