Well 80 acres, a hanger, a private runway and a personal jet are kind of hard to come by.

Which is why my kids have their dreams squashed so very rapidly. Maybe I should leave reality and live with them in their world.

Very cute!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-78856268674860148322009-10-19T11:10:37.133-05:002009-10-19T11:10:37.133-05:00I worked from home for several months... and there...I worked from home for several months... and there were certainly benefits [smile]. I've heard employers are having a lot of trouble with parents turning up at their kid's interviews & grilling the employer on how they will treat mummy's little darling! By the time Elf needs a job taking mum along might be de rigour! ☺ He is one smart boy, your Elfie.Ganeidahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17176246964466185315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-34855066183538713482009-10-18T14:09:13.038-05:002009-10-18T14:09:13.038-05:00Bronwyn, I *cannot* imagine sweet li'l Tyler a...Bronwyn, I *cannot* imagine sweet li'l Tyler as a football player. He'd need a lot of padding. :]

Deb, that's true! But you have to be a big boy and impress the interviewer to get the job in the first place... that usually means showing up for the interview and not asking Mom to come along...

LOL Mary, but if you get engine trouble, you're in a lot hotter water in the air. Not that I'm going to mention that to Mr. Elf just yet. :PHappy Elf Mom (Christine)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15047347624037697311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-89542614458637386712009-10-18T13:37:45.280-05:002009-10-18T13:37:45.280-05:00Lately I've been getting a lot of help from (1...Lately I've been getting a lot of help from (17 year old Aspie) Daniel's brothers with the growing up thing. Last night Daniel announced that he wished he'd remembered to get something or other from the store while we were there yesterday. Joseph said, "Well you could just jump in the car and go get it yourself--oh wait! That's right, you don't have your license yet. Bummer . . ." Jeremiah and Sam have been making similar points. Disturbingly the only thing the kid has expressed an interest in is in owning a motorcycle. Maybe it's like Elf's perspective on being a jet pilot?

LOL on Elf's very logical arguments. I can see his point about flying the jet though--there's a lot less traffic to deal with up there. :)Mary O. He is super small and deathly afraid of the ball. He has gotten past that now and is going to be a singer, sportscaster, and when he is done with that he wants to run for president. :) I am not sure he wants to drive either. I am hoping he makes enough to hire a driver!
(((Hugs))) to you for being such a super mom and helping him to be as independent as he can be.
BronwynBronwynhttp://www.homeschoolblogger.com/coffeeandconversationoreply@blogger.com
