I never know which is worse, the ignorance that starts the argument or the frenzy that follows.Ahermitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12246307693236606434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-42591156203171797132011-01-05T17:27:23.106-06:002011-01-05T17:27:23.106-06:00Ahhh! I can just be my weird self, but without all the hassle. :o)Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09508033779758406137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-13459004564415822632011-01-05T16:08:53.433-06:002011-01-05T16:08:53.433-06:00Amen Ganeida! I aspire to a position of simply knowing people are often rude and ignorant and no letting it bother me.Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11018289536912488430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-4671707018832903902011-01-05T14:26:18.415-06:002011-01-05T14:26:18.415-06:00You know those personality doo~das? I am always going to be an outsider & I was both public & private school educated. So who would I like to blame? My parents? By all accounts they are both perfectly normal? Everyone else just has to live with me ~ & that's pretty much where I've landed with all the homeschool issues. I've stopped talking about it. I've stopped defending it. I'm busy you know, just doing it. People are free to be both rude & ignorant ~ & usually when they are both nothing I or anyone else says to correct their bias is going to make one iota of difference so why bother?Ganeidahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17176246964466185315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212741399857110313.post-52005398466288573502011-01-05T07:58:37.333-06:002011-01-05T07:58:37.333-06:00"...which is a fancy name for making stuff up..."...which is a fancy name for making stuff up and guessing when you don't know the answer..." [smile]

It's very easy to feel attacked and so lash back in self-defense. Also we don't like it when people say stuff about us that simply isn't true.

But, yeah: There are probably many, many instances where we would do better to just ignore the things written by people who don't know what they are talking about. But that seems very counter-educational...

~LukeLuke Holzmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07799632321310461828noreply@blogger.com
