School ID

It's basically a piece of plastic on a shoe string that has a small plastic buckle to one side. Do you feel safer knowing that G is positively identifiable in the photograph above? Apparently several students got similar IDs. I had to pay seven dollars for this "identification." It is a requirement that high schoolers wear their tags at all times. For safety and all. I told G that it was just his "emo" day when he had the picture taken. He is now more emo than the emo kids.

The teachers need an ID to recognize their students? You mean as opposed to the teachers and staff recognizing you because they see you every day and have a vested interest in your education?

We had student ID's too. But, we only used them to get the cheap seats at the theater, skating rink and discounts at McD and stuff.

  4. We never had student IDs, I believe they have them now, but not as tags that must be worn, they're cards carried in wallets. They're called student cards I think, and are used to get concession prices on public transport etc.

  5. Julie, these are more like employee badges, but I don't know why anyone thinks this is a help at all. They are easily switched and even G's picture isn't on the stupid thing.

River, I know what you are talking about and this doesn't give any discounts that I know of. It's just an ID, really.

  6. That is about the most ignorant waste of taxpayer dollars I have ever seen!

You should tape a picture of Oprah over the back rectangle and let him wear it!

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
