This is my third great-uncle, or if you'd rather, William Jack's big brother. His name was Thomas Jack and he was born in August 1839. According to census documents, throughout his life he was both a cotton weaver and an "Ingine Keeper at Coal Pit."

DeleteSo cool, eh? There's a colorized version of the William Jack picture, that I think you Aunt Alice Jack had... his jacket was British Red and his kilt and sash dark green with yellow stripes. I don't know what happened to the color picture; guess I still have Williams.....
