Bomb Shelter!

It's more than a little musty, and windowless. The ceiling is only six feet high and it's unliveable space. But our house was built in the early 60's and the builder was convinced that the "Reds" were going to strike at any time. Later, when a tornado came near the area, he figured out that THAT might be a little more threatening. He decided, instead of having only a hole in our garage floor for access, that he would also JACKHAMMER through our laundry room and rig a door there as well. So I guess it's not a true bomb shelter since it has that side entrance. We keep putting things in there we're probably never going to use again, and then forgetting to throw it out when we have mega-trash day twice a year.

  1. That looks like it would be a great toy area for the little boys/girl when she comes.

  2. It's not really live-able space. It's REALLY musty and no windows. To convert it or make it useable at all would be too costly. Actually we had a remodeler in and said it would be more worthwhile to just build an addition to the house LOL!

  3. Like a root cellar. Place to store the bounty from the garden.

It's a nice fantasy for me. I can't grow anything except babies, it seems.
