G Loves Gadgets.

Here's G playing with a very old cell phone. I think we got this cell phone less than a year after he was born. That would make this cell phone about 12 years old! I like how cell phones then had bigger buttons. I liked how you could hold it to your ear and mouth at the same time. They were heavy enough to make losing them difficult. There was no texting or fancy features I will never learn on the phone. I wish I could get another like it but they don't make 'em like they used to.

  1. Isn't that the truth!! I try to use my husband's palm pilot which is rectangular shaped. When being held up to my ear, the part you speak in comes down to my cheek. Now how can I expect anyone to hear me?! And the buttons are so small, I have no idea how he manages. I can't so I end up having to change the screen over to numbers so I can use the stylus to enter a phone number!!

  2. I know how you feel. I am constantly losing my cell phone and I have no desire to text message either. D and I are going to have to do some cell phone shopping this weekend and I'm dreading it. I kind of miss the days when they said "ok here are your three choices." Now there are over 100!

  3. I think that's cool....Alex loves old cell phones too. I read somewhere that you should allow your children to take things apart and see how they work, I was not long ago telling John we should do this. I need to make a trip to the thrift store and pick up some 'gadgets' first!

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
