Stolen From Stacey's Blog!

Would you rather pay more for your health insurance, knowing smokers and people with "bad" lifestyles will be eating up a lot of expense on the program? Do you think it's right for employers to limit what you can and cannot do outside the working hours? One thing that bothers me in conservative circles is the argument that we should be against "gay marriage" (an oxymoron if I've ever heard one) because of the additional expense of covering the spouse in this lifestyle. To me, that isn't a good reason (there are other good reasons). My opinion? Cigarettes should be illegal. They're bad for you; we all know that. The only reasons cigarettes are not illegal are jobs and tax revenues. On the one hand, we want allllll the tax money and jobs to keep happenin'. On the other, we don't want to pay for the lung cancer that people eventually get. We're a bit crazy here in America. What do you think?

  1. i think if you are a smoker or drinker you should have to pay top dollar for your insurance. there should be some kind of penalty for smoking or causing harm to your body. I feel that way about eating junk food also though. I agree with you on the hypocricy of Americans. Why say smoking or drinking is wrong but then work somewhere that you have to sell these things? Hubby turned down a few jobs because he would have to deal with alcohol.
