COOKIES!!

G and I made sugar-cookie candy canes by twirling red and regular dough together into a candy cane shape. Elf, Emperor and I made "Rudolph kisses" from chocolate kisses wrapped in dough and dipped into powdered sugar while still hot. They don't look like much, but I had to tell Elf that not even the elves at the Keebler factory could top those cookies! Especially when they're warm right out of the oven.

  2. Hey, thanks! That was my whole intention with the decorating of the house and everything. Oh! I also gained four pounds to make you feel extra crummy that you didn't do any Christmas baking yet, either.

    :p

    You're welcome!

  4. Where's a picture of the Rudolph kisses??

The candy canes look wonderful. There is nothing better than cookies warm out of the oven.

We gave away all of Christmas cooking yesterday at Awanas. I was so proud of myself for not eating any. But then they had a Christmas party at church and sent all the leftover cake home with us and I am having a piece right now.

  5. The "Rudolph kisses" are the little white sugar balls under the candy canes. Not many left! Two sticks of butter and over half a cup of sugar makes, like, 26 of these puppies. They are *too* yummy.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
