The Emperor.

We talked a little bit ago about the little kid by the name of Adolf Hitler. Did you know Emperor has a funny name, too? It really is an emperor's name, and probably not one most Christians would name their son, but I do stuff like that just to irk other people and make spelling difficult for the kid. Once, a lady accosted me RIGHT IN FRONT of Emperor for "saddling him with such an awful name." Yep, this happened at church, too. The Spirit of Christ was just movin' big-time in my response, too. Because I'm a hypocrite and am only Jesus-like when it's convenient and I'm unoffended. :]

  2. :] emailed it to you. Most people can figure it out, though, when you tell them he's mentioned in the Bible.

  3. I am trying to rack my brain...hmmm. I know you said Bible but, when I think a bad Emperor to name your kids, I think Star Wars and Emperor Palaptine.

  4. I'm pretty sure that I knew all of your kids real names at one time.

  5. I'm glad you said it's a name in the Bible, because I was getting stuck on Nero... of course, I could have gone with Palpatine too [smile]

  6. Well, I was going to say as long as it's not Nero we're all good but I'm too late for that line & if it's the Emperor I think it is there's a very famous painter who goes by that tag too. :)

  8. Hmm, I am very curious too!

I guess it is safer to make a comment like that to the parent of an emperor than, say, to the parent of Adolf Hitler :(.

    Augustus? Otho? Constantine?

  9. It's that guy that wanted the whole world taxed. In the book of Luke, which explains why Luke got this one right away. :]

  10. If you pair up my Caesar with your son, they could call a census!

  11. Yep, they would be the census twins!

Apparently having a name that long is mean to do to the child. I think there is an all kids should be named Jeff, Dylan or Tyler law written informally somewhere. :]

  12. One of my girls has a 4 syllable classical name & no~one thinks I was mean, not even the kid herself. She actually really likes her name.

  13. I totally laughed out loud at this! My Sass has a name that most people equate with vampires. And the people who recognize is always ask, "Is she named after HER?" LOL!

    (She's not; it's a family name.)

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
