  1. Well, I'm impressed! Not only does he know more Spanish than I ever will, he has a lovely singing voice. And the arm movements were very beautiful too.

  3. Thanks, Tracey and Shelly! We have been studying Spanish for about a month now. It is actually a curriculum for younger children in first or second grade, but it emphasizes using phrases as the way to learn rather than declining verbs. Which I think is fine at this age. :]

  5. Awwww... Thanks! Now, he can sing two songs and say a Bible verse, but he can't hold a conversation yet. :]

  6. Does he take requests? I want to hear De Colores.

  7. Lovely! I forgot most of my Spanish too. But, I used to know it well enough to read The Little Prince in Spanish.

But, Beverly had an interpreter for a procedure, he assured me all languages were easy to learn when you needed them.

  8. I've never heard of the De Colores song. Had to YouTube it.

Julie, I'm glad that your kids are learning English so easily. It's truly amazing, isn't it? But we have no opportunity (that I know of) to practice Spanish. I'm not even sure if we make sense to someone who really speaks the language LOL!

  9. Wow! That's awesome -- and after only one month. I'm impressed. I think I want to go back to age 8 and learn a few more languages.

  11. Oh my goodness! 1) that was fantastic, pass that onto Elf, I loved it!

    2) I'm feeling very...under-achiever-ish as a teacher now, lol

:) Thanks for sharing and thank you for your support, always.

  13. LOL Sue, I think you are doing very well to be fluent in two languages!

Luke, he loves the camera, but he gets nervous asking a store clerk where to find an item.

Awww, Stacey, you're not an underachiever at all. I think you're moving ahead in homeschooling based on your plan for your son. ((hugs))

Chris, tell Griffin we said HI!! I think it's pretty cool to have a national anthem in two languages. I don't know of any other country that does that. :]

And thanks for the compliment, Lisa! Elf will be very pleased with all the comments. :]

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
