Fixing Short-Short-Shorts.

They make shorts too stinkin' short for little girls. If I left this as-is, Rose's diaper would hang out the back end if she wore it in public next summer. Then again, I couldn't pass up paying 20 cents for the shorts... I took an old piece of a skirt that is too small for me and attached it to the bottom of the shorts. I had cut off the "legs" first, but I think next time, I'll just flip the shorts around and sew through the open waistline so that there is a modesty cover under the skirt. :]

  5. So! Cute!

One of my biggest pet peeves is the difference between boys and girls clothes. I have to be on Tart Alert when shopping for my daughter. I mean seriously! Can we not get a girls short with an inseam of more than one INCH?! Gah! How are they supposed to dig in the dirt?

So I have abandoned the girls department when it comes to shorts - I go to the boys department. When I buy shirts, I have to get them two sizes bigger than she would wear in a boys shirt. What is going on in this country? Do we really have to sexualize a TODDLER, for crying out loud?

    Anyway. I feel you, dawg.

  6. That is really cute! Oh I wish I had a little girl to dress in pink frills. I get so excited whenever someone has a girl just so I can buy a girl outfit.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
