Meeting People in Heaven.

Do you believe in it?

Recently a beloved older man from the chess club passed away.  Emperor, Elf, and G were very sad to learn of this. "Poor Bill," Emperor kept saying.  I told him that the people I felt sorry for were his family.  Because Bill was a Christian and I know he is in a better place now with Bobby Fischer.

Patrick snorted.  "Not Bobby Fischer," he said raising one eyebrow.  "I'm thinking Bobby Fischer is somewhere else."

I dunno.  But I'm not the only one who thinks of all the people we'll meet in heaven. Here's an obituary about how a loved one is with "with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Dale Earnhardt."

  2. I'm chuckling at Patrick's comment

Funny how my Nana keeps coming up this week
I once asked her if I'd see her in heaven and she said I would
I told her I was worried because she was Jewish and I was Catholic and that there were different heavens.
She said "don't be silly, God is not petty and mean"

As for the wallpaper, there is a photo somewhere but it's black and white so the true horror can't be experienced. I'll find it and scan it one of these days
it was deep red background with Chinese letters and pagodas and I do believe there was a bit of gold characters here and there

  3. Whenever kids start conjecturing about who they'll meet in heaven, I inform that that only God can make that judgement, because it we left it up to other people, who knows where they'd send us.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
