World Pastor Tony Alamo!

Patrick, G and I were walking out of our local Hy-Vee yesterday and getting in our car when we noticed a flier in the windshield. But not just any flier. This was a super-thick newspaper all about how GREAT the "World Pastor Tony Alamo" is and all of his beee-utiful end-time prophecies which are sure to take place soon!

Soon, he says, there will be "worldquakes" and other disasters leading more people to faith in Christ. But I'm sure the Great Prophet Tony Alamo will be glorified... The flier even has a picture of him with Willie Nelson! WOW!

So G and I are snickering about this on the way home. G starts calling him "Tickle Me Alamo" and Patrick is getting upset, saying we should NEVER make fun of our Christian brothers and sisters! It's just wrong! *snort*

OK, I looked up his name on the ol' Wikipedia and the mug shots they have of the guy going to PRISON weren't as nice-looking as his photos on the flier LOL! And to know that he directed children to be severely abused is a bit sick. What kind of idiot is going to join his little "church" now? Good grief, Charlie Brown.

  1. why post derogatory remarks about a Christian Pastor who is simply saying what the Bible says? In the book of Revelation the angel who was used to give John the message of revelations said, "Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." Rev 1:3 Obviously you're not a Christian though...

  2. If being a Christian means following some nut-case who has been in jail for tax evasion and has directed the abuse of children for others to carry out, and who with one of his wives has lost custody of children ...

I'm not a Christian then. I follow Jesus and not Tony Alamo. Sorry to disappoint you LOL!

  3. I loved Tony ... I watched him when he was on TAXI as the boxer and then when he starred on Who's The Boss as the house cleaner.

    Or was that Tony Danza?

Remember the Tony! or was that the Alamo?

  4. i agree thomas she don't sound like a nice Christian or she wouldn't be mocking this man of God. I looked at his website too and it dont mention him going to prison or nothing like that. so then it probably isnt even true anyway and hes probably a real nice guy.

  5. Your gut feelings about Tony Alamo are right. I personally knew him for many years. He was guilty of tax evasion. He also believes in multiple wives and that all girls should be married off at the age of 12. Police in Ark. broke up a wedding at one of his "churches" between a 12 year old girl and a 34 year old man. Alamo pesonally has taken girls as young as 10 to be his wives. He uses the same line as Warren jeffs that they will lose their salvation if they don't submit to him. It is really very sick. He also was wanted in California for having a 12 year old boy beaten 140 times with a 2X4. I personally have talked to eyewitnesses who said the boy was a bloody mess. Alamo fled before the police could get him but 5 memebers of his cult were arrested and charged in the incident. None of them showed up for their court appearances so the chrges were dropped.
He gets his money from charity scams his followers operate. Recently one of them was caught selling millions of dollars worth of donated goods that were supposed to go to Katrina victims. Of course he didn't show up for his court appearance and is in hiding. The FBI is investigating.
The list goes on and the crimes this guy is getting away with are unbelievable.
Do yourself and others a favor. Anytime you see his pamphlets tear them up and throw them away.

  6. No, I didnt say follow Tony Alamo. I quoted a verse of the Bible says that the end times are at hand. Thats all i said. where would you get "follow Tony Alamo" from what i said?

Anyway, that stuff isnt true about child abuse. He was set up on false charges. Not everyone who goes to prison is guilty you know. Jesus was in jail, along with John the baptist, peter, Paul, many of the prophets from the Old Testament as well. Yet God considered them righteous.

  8. Tony Alamo Home Schools the children at the Cult so no one from the free world will see the bruses and he dont wont no one outside the church asking qustions when 8 year old baby girls quit school to go live with Tony Alamo as one of his child wives

  9. Guess no one should be able to homeschool, then, since Tony Alamo and his bunch abuse kids... is that what you're trying to say? I hope not.

If what you're saying is true, his compound or cult needs to be investigated. I've read that the fellow has been investigated in the past. I hope that any abuse that may have happened would be brought to light and dealt with in criminal court.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
