Dear Baby Emperor: We Have to Talk.

Dear Emperor:
*
Mommy loves you back and thinks your letters to me are sweet. If you were in public school right now, you'd be graduating from kindergarten. However, you are truly beginning to smell like a MAN. I mean that in a smelly bad sort of way. We need to talk about "deodorant," even though you are not a teenager yet.
*
And little children entering the first grade should not be 4 foot 6. You are not allowed to grow any more, please. Mommy wants you to stay little and cuddly. I don't want you to ever lose that happy inquisitiveness that marks your personality. I'm sorry you cried during church today because you weren't allowed to hug everyone. I'm sorry I had to tell you that people you thought were your friends really aren't. I'm sorry that you have to grow up.
*
Love, Mom.
*
P.S. You have a special place in my heart. When I say that, I mean that you are special to me and I love you very much. Remember what "heart" means next time there is a quiet time in church and the pastor wants to talk about where your heart is with God. It isn't time to jump up and give an anatomy lesson to the congregation, OK?? Love ya, kid.

  1. Dishpan Dribble is another blog I read. Mrs. Darling is in my home school group.

How are you connected? Do you just happen to stumble upon their blogs? Just wondering. I just stumbled upon yours and I see you read 2 of my friends. Just thinking what a small, small world.

  4. LOL Yup, he's pretty cute!

Mrs. Incredible, I stumble on others' blogs like you stumble on mine. Sometimes I look at friends and their friends. So instead of a small world you *could* have a really big one if you spent every day on line looking at your friends' friends' friends. :]

  8. lol Monkey has the smelling issue also. finally I had to go to the dollar store and pick up some manly smelling bath wash and deoderant spray and then make a big deal about how he would be like his dad. Now he does not smell as bad.

I am sorry church was so hard. :( I can so relate and I will be praying for you.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
