Me, Size 8

Obviously this is not a recent picture. But I'm hiding my face because I'm "too fat" to have my photo taken. See how little Elf is? He was in preschool at the time. He still loves me just the same and will still hold my hand in public. I get hugs, too. He draws the line at being smooched and called "Elfie McMelfie" in front of all his friends, though.

  1. I saw your title on my feed burner and said, What in the world has that woman done to make it to size 8 already?! I scurried over here and here you are...size 8! only it was many years ago. Oh well we'll both get there soon wont we?

  2. I can't even lose the last 15 lbs! With EVERY single kid I was able to lose my weight WITHOUT even trying. A year later I would always be back to where I was. Not this time. My fifth one did it. Ha ha. ARggggghhhhh....

Okay, so I went and bought Dance Revolution for my Wii and it has a calorie counter on it. I hate, hate, hate treadmills but this has been so fun! Never mind that I can't dance. That's whats so fun about it. Ha ha

  3. LOL in reality I am about ... oh... a 20/22. Maybe a really big 18. So, no, not an 8 yet. My goal is really a more realistic 12.

  4. Me, too, I want back into my 12's like right now!

Okay, Mrs. C, here's the thing: I purchased new dishes online last night after midnight, went to the endodontist and paid them $670 and went onto McDonald's and got two shakes, $5, and was declined. Apparently I can only charge so much on my bank card per day, no matter how much is in the bank. So...........you know where I'm going with this, right? I'll have to email you the giftcard info tomorrow. I'm sorry, Peaches, I really didn't know! I don't usually use my card for big items, I didn't know! Oh...and I'll need your email to get the card to you. Email me at sacrossley@kc.rr.com, please. Tomorrow. Again...I.am.sorry. Stupid endodontists! xo

  5. PS--the shakes were for Alex and Niki (a treat for Alex doing so well today), not me. But it would explain why my size 12 jeans sit idle in the closet, lol. Niki, thankfully, had cash.

  6. Ya know, getting bigger is sometimes the price we pay for producing gorgeous children.. and I for one DON'T CARE! They are worth every pound.

  7. Sometimes looking at old pictures can be depressing. When I really get to my "that's it, I'm gonna lose this weight or else" point it can be helpful to stick a photo of the more svelt me on the front of the fridge!

I agree with Chris that all the weight up and down is worth it for those beautiful blessings, though I do want to be healthy so that I can enjoy them as long as possible.

Your little Elf looks so adorable!

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
