What We Do With Socks.

Woodjie hasn't worn socks unless he also will be putting shoes on for several months. Rose thinks it is hilarious that he prefers to put blocks into his socks. "Sock! Shooooooooe.... Sock! Sock!" she'd try to explain to him. Yes, he knows. He just wants to do things his way.

  1. When I was helping my son clean his room yesterday I found a sock full of blocks. Must be a boy thing!

  2. Adorable! I love the different approach to things that kids can come up with.
I also love the fact that he loves the Christmas lights. I know you posted on that the other day but my computer wouldn't let me comment for some reason. :( Christian loves the lights too! His favorite thing this time of the year though is the big inflatable snow globes. I could take him to the store and he could watch them forever.
Also the picture of Rose laughing is beyond cute!

  3. Great pictures. I love the utter concentration with which he is putting the blocks into the socks.

Over the years I've retrieved more socks filled with everything from plastic animals, to legos, to blocks, to small stuffed animals. They apparently make great sleeping bags for tiny bunnies and bears and are fantastic for slinging across the room at one's brother when weighted down with marbles. It's not so bad when they're using their own socks, but when it comes to mine fuzzy warm ones . . .

  4. Rose is a kindred spirit! lol. Socks are good. It's when the boys think these things should go down the plumbing & how many matchbox cars will swan round the S~bend in the loo? that you know you have real problems!

  9. Putting blocks in his socks is way better than what Teddy does with them!
    HE EATS THEM.
    Grrrrr, he's a little horror!

  10. We use socks as gloves for our baby. He keeps scratching his head bloody.

  11. Chris H is my new friend. I thought I was the only one with a child who eats his socks (and any others that might be left on the floor). Ugh!

Blocks in socks are far better. Trust me! I'm with Rose - boys are so funny. Adorable photo!

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
