Christmas 1914

My grandmother Maxine's Christmas tree, one hundred years ago.  She would have been five years old when this was taken in the city of DuBois, Pennsylvania.

    Oh wow! That is absolutely amazing. We don't have any old Christmas photos like that. Beautiful.

    A bright pretty tree, I like the little fence protecting the display of gifts.
    I didn't start photographing my Christmas trees until 1984-5, mostly because I didn't always have a camera.

      I think the little fence goes with the toy horses there. Make the pic bigger and look realllly carefully. Old photos are a bit blurry. There are tons of toys there. :)
