The Look.
Leather jacket for about $5 at the thrift store. It really looks *sharp* on G and he has gotten a lot of compliments at school. Yes, it is missing a button, but it's otherwise in excellent condition and is old enough to be back in fashion again. This leather is super-soft, too. D bought it to tear up and make little projects out of, but G is giving it some new life. I wish, with the negative temperatures out there, that he did not go out to the bus stop to wait just as you see him here. Apparently wearing a hat or jacket/ being sensible is very out of fashion.

What a handsome fellow. Too cool to smile.
ReplyDeleteMy oldest insisted on going to school year round in t-shirts and hoodies. We went round and round, until his dad suggested that I simply let him work it out for himself. I waited. I just waited for him to get sick so I could prove my point (lovingly of course).
He then single-handedly proved what medical science already knew--that one does not get sick from not dressing warmly enough. He was sick exactly twice. :)
Great jacket!
ReplyDeleteUh, how come G looks so grown up? When I started reading your blog he looked like a child and not a young man. Really, time is moving to fast.
Very cool G! Love the stance, what a guy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome guy! It blows my mind to think that my oldest boy will be that old, and that grown up looking, in a few years.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me what to do with teenage boys. No wait. I don't think I'm ready!
Very handsome!
ReplyDelete"Sharp".. that's exactly the word that came to my mind when I saw his picture! He looks great! How awesome that he's getting compliments at school too!
ReplyDeleteDude... I was never that cool!

Wow! He looks so nice in it. The hairstyle looks nice on him too! I haven't been by in awhile, but now that we have a computer again I hope to be by more often.
ReplyDeleteWow, he's getting tall
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm huge on thrift stores. The other day I finally found black and also white dress shoes for my girls and they were in perfect condition.
ReplyDeleteVery cool jacket and I love that color!
ReplyDeleteOff topic.....
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across an article today that just sounds like it needs a good ol' fashioned Mrs. C rant!

Now I wished I saved my leather jacket for my boys. I gave it to Goodwill before I had kids.
