Gallon-Smashing!

Apparently it is the new thing to do.  Throw gallons of juice or milk around so that they break and then pretend to fall down in it.  There are several videos of this type online and it isn't little old ladies doing it; it's young guys.  They seem to have some sort of contest going for "most outrageously unbelieveable accident."

  1. I came across one of the videos the other day, so I won't watch it again - it's already filed away in my "guess you had to be there" file.

I'm all for good clean fun, but what I want to know is do they pay for the smashed gallon, and clean up the mess? If not, I'd have to give it two thumbs down.

    1. Sue, it is supposed to be "funny," people doing this in public and acting like it is an accident. I think it's dangerous and expensive. Only think of how when you spill milk in your fridge it gets EVERYWHERE and is a big mess. The staff time cleaning all the fridges and floors, the loss of the product and insurance if some old lady slips...

I hope they catch these kids, really.

  2. What idiots! I bet they don't pay for it. It bothers me that they are preying on the good will of people. It makes me wonder if people like this didn't get enough attention as children. Sigh.

    1. Or they got too much and are so special no one else matters. I don't know... from the looks of this young man, he is old enough to just get over it and move on already.

  3. Utterly ridiculous behavour!!! And now that these videos are out there, if someone really does fall over spilt milk they are not going to be believed.
These BOYS (clearly they are not adults) must be bored, but still that is no excuse.

    1. I've had milk leak before in the store. Sometimes there are very small holes in the container you don't know about or the seal isn't that great. These are not heirloom containers.

      I think you're right.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
