More Summer Pics!

Painting the van and playing with the hose today.  We also got the bubbles out.

Hippie car detailing.

I got this little razor on a screw for free because I watched a sales presentation.  Nope, I didn't buy anything.  It's a little dirty in the pic because Patrick and I just cut potatoes with it.  You stick the screw halfway into the potato, and turn the handle round and round and round...

Heres' what they look like after they're opened.  I doused the potatoes in olive oil, popped some pepper on and baked at 415 degrees for about 20 - 25 minutes.  Half the children love them.  The other half got a cheese sandwich with dinner instead.

  1. WOW that spiral thing is amazing! What are the kids using to paint your van with? I hope it came off easily!

    1. It's called tempera paints. They should have them there, or something very similar. Only caveat is, don't use red. Harder to get off. :)

  2. I love that magic spiral! Potato flowers...
I used to give my kids buckets of water and giant house painting brushes each summer, they paint the house, the fence, the trees, because it was just water no clean up was required.

    1. I love the water idea too, but these paints were really old and getting clumpy. Time to replace... might as well use first.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
