I think it's nice that our local school buses are equipped with cameras on the inside, and GPS monitors. I'm sure it has helped with discipline in more than one instance as well as helping innocent kids not get into trouble. But the tapes are reviewed when there's a problem. Sometimes vehicles will pass buses as they are loading or unloading and the driver will write the license number down and call it in.
But it looks like in this instance, tapes aren't really reviewed. And toward the end of the article, it discusses short yellow lights leading to a large number of people cited for driving through a red light. I can't tell you how many times I've run through yellow-almost-red because some redneck in a truck fifty times the size of my van is less than two feet from my bumper and NOT STOPPING. What's really sad is that five people will run through the yellow light after you knowing that they had lots of time to stop.
I read somewhere that here in Missouri you need to be polite and wait for everyone to go during THEIR red light, before you can go on yours. You know, take turns!
