All. Day. Long.

Rose climbs up on the couch. Mom yells NO at the kid. Sometimes, this girl will even point back and say, "Dooooooowwwwn!" because she's all sassy like that. Then she'll jump. Then I will shout at her she will NOT NOT NOT do that again (good grief, she's gonna hurt herself if she falls wrong!) and she pouts. Repeat hundreds of times per day. Drives. Me. Nuts.

  1. OMG--that is so darn cute. I love that pout! I was just telling my Mom about Cupcake's latest. We use the naughty chair to discipline her. Lately she has been scolding Bubba when he does something she doesn't like. Today while I was in the kitchen with the plumber I could hear Bubba crying and Cupcake was yelling at him. When I got to the living room--Bubba was sitting in the naughty chair and Cupcake was sitting on his lap scolding him (I think she was sitting on him to keep him in the chair). I hope he learned his lesson! By the time I got back with the camera it was over, but really too funny!

  2. Very cute scowl:) They definitely keep you hopping at this age.

Love that window. I reminds me of the stained glass windows in the church I went to growing up.

  3. Look at the face. You're such a meanie. My daughter usually cries and say, "Uou don't love me."

  4. Poor wee darling! If you dress her in BLUE like a boy what do you expect! (lol)... a long pretty dress might stop her, if only to tangle her feet up in so she can't climb!
Seriously though, I doubt you can stop her... it's just what she enjoys doing! And she is more likely to fall from having you yell at her! Chill out, she will be fine.

Hi, I'm Jeanne, I keep seeing your face at Sue's (Living and Learning) blog, and thought I'd stop bye for a chat! Look forward to getting to know you!

  7. Bonnie, that story is SOOO classic that I wouldn't wonder you should keep your camera handy these next few days! :]

MyKidsMom, it's that sticky plastic stuff you can buy at Home Depot. As you can see by the size and shape of the windows, they look dorky with blinds or curtains. I'm so glad we finally hit this answer to our trouble!!

Chris, the dress wouldn't stop her, but when she jumps in her Prairie dress it goes *pooof* with lots of air. LOL ok that would have made a better pic though.

Hi, Jeanne! Nice to "meet" you! :]

Casdok, she does. It gets a bit tiring because she's so constant about it. That, and GNAWING the woodwork and eating the little woodchips. Seriously! Like a beaver.

I my goodness I would probably let her climb the Eiffel Tower if she turned that sweet little face on me. You have amazing willpower!!

  10. Oh my gosh. I know what you mean! She is just at that training stage where you have to be so darn diligent. It just drives you nuts though. I understand. Argh.

Bringing Garbage Home

Some people up the street were throwing this table away. It was in pretty bad shape and one of the legs was off. I've glued the leg back...
